A spear with a long shaft of green lacquered wood in two parts screwed together in centre mounted with bun-shaped globular rings and broad bands of chased gold. The butt end is of chased silver with which the blade is also partly encrusted. Two edged blade with a cypress motif issuing from base.
Provenance
Presented to King Edward VII, when Prince of Wales, during his tour of India in 1875-76 by Ramachandra Tondaiman, Raja of Pudukkottai.
