A 10 x 12 inch glass plate negative of a display of object in Case G in the North Corridor at Windsor Castle, now known as the China Corridor (abbreviation WC Nrth Corr), including two rugs, four cases (two tubular) for addresses of congratulations sent to Queen Victoria on her assumption of the title of Empress of India in 1877, a silver peacock and two small angels (not identified).
From left to right: 'a mat of scarlet and green velvet very richly embroidered in gold with Persian inscription in the centre', subsequently made into a footstool (WC Nrth Corr 1015, no RCIN); a tubular case for an address (WC Nrth Corr 1009, no RCIN); a silver peacock, designed for its breast to open to reveal an address (WC Nrth Corr 1007; sent to the Victoria & Albert Museum in 1912); a tubular case for an address (WC Nrth Corr 1010, no RCIN); two books of Sanskrit verses and music (WC Nrth Corr 1012 and 1013, RCINs 1196822 and 1196823); a tubular case for address (WC Nrth 1008, no RCIN); silver box (WC Nrth Corr 1011, out of focus, no RCIN); a second rug, also embroidered in gold and with gold tassel fringe (WC Nrth Corr 1014, subsequently made into a table, no RCIN).
