A ceremonial mace or chob with an eight-sided, fluted steel shaft curving at the top, with knob finial; the grip covered with maroon and silver brocade.
Ceremonial maces would be held by attendants guarding the ruler's court.Provenance
Presented to King Edward VII, when Prince of Wales, during his tour of India in 1875-76 by Mohammad Ibrahim Ali Khan, Nawab of Tonk.
