A hand-coloured photograph dating from c.1865 and a pair with 422339.
Marie, Princess of Hanover, second daughter of George V, King of Hanover, and Marie of Saxe-Altenburg. Prince Arthur, Queen Victoria's third son, courted her in 1875, but the marriage negotiations were not successful and in the end she never married. She died at Gmunden, Austria, in 1904.Provenance
