Gilt bronze figure of Victory, holding an enamelled laurel wreath aloft; supported on a rotating globe, made from opals, sections of which form the countries of the World, this rests on a block of African jade above five columns, the central one of Derbyshire spar and the four others lapis lazuli, to of which rest on recumbant (British) lion and (Indian) tiger; the gilt bronze cobras at the top of the columns represent India. The square base is of New Zealand jade, black marble and grey Spitzbergen marble. Beneath the base is a removeable gilt bronze plaque.

Presented to King George V by Maharaja Madho Rao Scindia, of Gwalior, to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919
