The Princess of Anhalt-Dessau is depicted with curled hair, pearl necklace, lace collar, and embroidered gown, standing beside the figures of children. The Princess Dorothea is depicted standing between her two younger sisters; Juliana, Princess of Anhalt-Dessau to the left and the infant Luise of Anhalt-Dessau (later Duchess of Brieg-Legnica) is pictured seated in a chair.
The family group are presented within an interior, with coat of arms, columns and drapery behind. With cartouches below containing Latin inscriptions below.
