SEBASTIANO RICCI (BELLUNO 1659-VENICE 1734)
Album of drawings
c.1734RCIN 970113
This finely-bound album contains over two hundred drawings by Sebastiano Ricci, and is one of six volumes of drawings from Joseph Smith’s library to remain intact in the Royal Collection. The elaborate title page was executed by Antonio Visentini (1688–1782). Many of the drawings relate to paintings that were also owned by Smith; the drawings presented next were removed from the volume in the twentieth century.
