Wat and Basco

A dark blue velvet frame with a photograph of two dogs. Gilt metal mounts: 'Wat' and 'Basco' 1886. They belong to Princess Beatrice and her husband, Prince Henry of Battenberg. Several albums of photographs exist showing dogs kept at the Royal Kennels in the Home Park at Windsor during Queen Victoria's reign.
