1903

RCIN 2916586

For King Edward VII’s Coronation Durbar in 1902, the Viceroy Lord Curzon and his wife led the procession on the same silver howdah in which the new King- Emperor had ridden during his visit to India in 1875–6. For this print, the figures of Lord and Lady Curzon have been montaged onto a separate photograph of the State Elephant, Lutchman Pershad.
