Gazelle, early 18th century.
Painting of a white Chinkara, or Indian Gazelle, with fawn-coloured speckles and a red halter facing right against a pale green background. The tufts of grass and the streaks of blue and white for the sky are later additions.

Imaginary courtesan, late 18th century.
A night-time scene of a courtesan seated upon a terrace with a garden behind. She sits leaning to one side with her hands above her head looking directly at the viewer. Her upper body is bared displaying her pearl and ruby necklace. On a golden stand behind her a pandan, two bottles and a cup.
