1 July 1969RCIN 2814424
The Prince of Wales is shown wearing the coronet and mantle, two of the five pieces of insignia used during the investiture ceremony. Both coronet and mantle were made for the 1969 ceremony. The Prince’s insignia also included the gold ring, rod and sword, which had formed part of the insignia in 1911 when the future King Edward VIII was invested as Prince of Wales.
