Rockingham Service
These three dessert stands (RCIN 58379; 58378; 58375) form part of what is probably the most complex English porcelain service ever produced. It combines both accurate painted floral ornament and applied fruit and flower shapes, which form frames for topographical scenes of Britain and other overseas territories. The dessert stands shown here include pineapple and mulberry leaf supports, but others in the service include exotic fruits such as guavas, bunches of corn and corals.
