Engagement and wedding

The Duke of Edinburgh travelled from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey accompanied by his groomsman, his first cousin David, Marquess of Milford Haven. He wore his naval uniform, adorned with his naval ribbons, the Star of the Order of the Garter (bestowed by the King shortly before the wedding) and the Star of the Greek Order of the Redeemer.
