The one-week honeymoon was spent at the royal residence of Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. The newlyweds travelled from Windsor to Portsmouth before crossing the Solent in the Royal Yacht, which is shown here passing in front of six illuminated ships at Spithead. Spectacular firework displays continued into the night.
