Pair of brooches from the orange blossom parure

Prince Albert designed this brooch as an engagement present for Queen Victoria. He sent it in this box from Wiesbaden, Germany, to Queen Victoria at Windsor Castle. Matching pieces of orange blossom jewellery, including a pair of earrings, a brooch and a circlet, were added to the suite for her fifth and sixth wedding anniversaries.
