Water bottles
circa 1870 - 1875RCIN 11362
The bottles depict water and land based animals. Parrots perch on the base of the bottleneck, below which are makara (a mythical sea creature). These are formed from a combination of aquatic and terrestrial animals. On the bulbous section of the bottle, the surface is covered with representations of ducks.
