The firm of Holland & Sons of Mount Street in London were the most active suppliers of new furniture for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s residences, and were capable of almost any style. This richly-finished cabinet was commissioned to display mementos of Prince Albert at Windsor following his death in 1861.
