The Lily Font

Commissioned for the christening of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s first child, Victoria, Princess Royal, in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace, on 10 February 1841, the font is made in the form of a waterlily, symbolic of purity and new life. It has been used at every subsequent royal christening.
