Piccadilly, depicted here by the topographical artist Claude Muncaster, was on the Coronation route between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, where in 1937 crowds gathered to see the King and Queen pass in the Gold State Coach. Queen Elizabeth purchased this watercolour view in 1974.
