In early 2024, The Queen's Gallery, as it was then known, became the 'Haus of Holbein' as we welcomed two community youth groups to our collaboration with SIX the Musical! Young people from Dragon Hall and the Renaissance Foundation were invited to join us to engage with art, history and drawing.

Young people, living in London, took part in an art and history workshop, exploring the six wives of Henry VIII. We explored their stories, how these stories are told in SIX the Musical, and how some of them were represented in the exhibition by Hans Holbein. Participants looked closely at the drawings and took inspiration from the colour, shape and textures shown, to create their own works, thinking about the power of storytelling and history – all with a bright, colourful, 'Haus of Holbein' theme.

Watch our video about the project - made by young people, about young people and edited together by young people.
