Join Andrew Graham-Dixon, British art historian, art critic, author and broadcaster, as he discusses the formation and legacy of Italian Renaissance Art.

"I have always been enthralled by the great drawings of the Renaissance masters because they are so intimate and often so informal," Andrew explains. "Frequently, when I look at one I feel as though I am looking over the shoulder of the artist, hearing them mutter to themselves or plan their next move. Drawing was how they thought, so when we look at their drawings what we see is thought itself made visible - one of the miracles of art."

Andrew will be joined by Head of Prints and Drawings and Drawing the Italian Renaissance exhibition curator Martin Clayton for this in-conversation style event.

Our speakers' discussion will be followed by a private view of the exhibition and your ticket will also include a glass of wine or soft drink to enjoy while you explore the Gallery.

Your ticket will be converted into a 1-Year Pass, allowing you to visit our current and future exhibitions at The King's Gallery, Buckingham Palace as many times as you like within the next year. See here for more information about the 1-Year Pass.
