Join royal biographer Hugo Vickers as he explores the work of Sir Cecil Beaton, one of the most celebrated and influential photographers of the 20th century and acclaimed portrait photographer of the British Royal Family.
Drawing on his own conversations with members of the Royal Family, including the late Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and Princess Alexandra to name a few, Hugo is in a unique position to share fascinating insights into Beaton's practice, what it was like to be photographed by him and how he was perceived by some of his most famous sitters. During this event, Hugo will explore how Beaton developed such an extraordinary professional relationship with the Royal Family which spanned across six decades, making him one of the most represented portrait photographers in the Royal Photograph Collection.
