The King's Gallery will reopen in Spring 2025 with a new exhibition

The Queen’s Gallery has now become The King’s Gallery.

Whether your group is interested in a special or private visit, or just wants a truly magnificent experience visiting one of the royal residences, our team can help you get the most out of your visit. We offer a groups discount for bookings of 15 or more, and group-only products designed to enrich your experience at the official residences of The King.

Prices for group leaders and guides

Subject to availability, Scottish Blue Badge Guides registered with the Institute of Tour Guiding enjoy free entry. To gain free admission, Blue Badge Guides should go to the visitor entrance and show their Blue Badge and Institute of Tourist Guiding membership card on the day of their visit.

All unauthorised guides and tour leaders must be included as part of a group booking.

Group bookings & payments

Groups can reserve and book tickets on our website or by calling the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)303 123 7321. Please note that a £2.00 transaction fee is applied to all telephone bookings.

Pre-booked group tickets must be paid for by credit card or company cheque with two signatures 30 days before the day of the visit. On-the-day group visits must be paid for by cash or credit card.

We accept the following credit cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • JCB
  • Switch/Maestro
  • Diners Club

Company cheques should be made payable to 'Royal Collection Enterprises Limited'.

Coach parking

Coach set-down and pick-up and limited coach parking is available on a first-come first-serve basis next to the Palace, accessible via Abbeyhill. Coach drivers must remain with the vehicle for the duration of the visit and are respectfully asked to switch off their engines when stationary.

Please note that coach parking is limited only to groups seeking paid entry to the Palace or The King's Gallery.  Alternative pay-and-display coach parking is available on nearby Regent Road.

Guiding in the Gallery

Guiding isn't allowed in The King's Gallery. 

Visitors can enjoy a free multimedia tour, available in English only, at The King’s Gallery and can buy exhibition catalogues either in advance from our online shop or on the day of the visit.

What's on for groups


The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
