ANTONIO VISENTINI (VENICE 1688- VENICE 1782)
La Faciata del' Redentore a Venezia
c.1740-60RCIN 919301
Antonio Visentini was regularly employed by Smith and the Pasquali press as a draughtsman. He made many drawings of buildings by Palladio to be circulated among those interested in the revival of his work. This particular sheet, showing the façade of Palladio’s church of the Redentore in Venice, was damaged by a candle flame at an early stage in its history.
