The Choice of Hercules

Hercules is seen resting under a tree, with two female figures each inviting him to follow her: Virtue, holding a palm and pointing to a rocky path leading up a mountainside; and Vice, partly naked, clutching a tambourine to signify easy pleasures, but with a mask of Deceit at her feet.
