Video: Designer Gareth Pugh
Gareth Pugh’s interest in historical fashion was first piqued when he was a small boy, by an image of Elizabeth I wearing her customary ruff and sumptuous dress.
In this interview, filmed at his London studio, Pugh tells Royal Collection Trust curator Anna Reynolds, how he takes inspiration from the Tudor and Stuart period, when fashion was used to convey power and status in a competitive and novelty-seeking royal court.
