Pair of tulip vases

These vases, was used to display cut flowers and bulbs at Hampton Court Palace. These examples are created from nine stacking sections above a plinth. The plinth depicts a bust of William III and motifs of cupids and peacocks, derived from designs by Daniel Marot. Marot also designed the pair of embroidered hangings on this wall.
