The textual artist Stephen Raw has collaborated with Carol Ann Duffy for a number of years on many of her public commissions.

He trained in Manchester, where he is now based, and has combined being a freelance letter artist with teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University and Glasgow School of Art. His love of language is fundamental to all his work and his aim is ‘to make language visible’.
