circa 1632RCIN 405291
Charles I is here shown with his family and court visiting Greenwich, where his architect, Inigo Jones, was adding the Queen’s House (the unfinished building centre left) to the famous Tudor palace. Van Stalbemt was a landscape painter from Antwerp, and Van Belcamp a Dutch copyist who helped to look after the King’s collection.
