1565RCIN 405786
The Four Last Things: Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell, is a meditation on man’s last moments on earth derived from Ecclesiasticus. The dying man receives the last rites on the left. The resurrected turn to Christ in judgement. The damned are being dragged to the mouth of Hell, that of a giant fish on the right. The theme was popular in contemporary theatre.
