The Picture Gallery had been designed by John Nash for George IV, but the ‘dove’ wall colour was applied for Queen Victoria. Among the paintings can be seen Pythagoras advocating vegetarianism by Rubens and Snyders, purchased in 1840. The table is set with George IV’s Grand Service.
