Not only did George IIIsupport the arts, he was also a keen draughtsman, with architectural drawing being a particular favourite.
As Prince of Wales, George was taught architectural design by Sir William Chambers and Chambers' influence can be seen in the drawings made by the young prince and king.
This design for a neo-classical building with Corinthian-style columns was drawn by George sometime around his accession to the throne.
