Growing
The royal family has always kept careful records of their children's growth and development, and like many parents preserve or commission items which capture the fleeting likenesses of their children.
A series of baby books contain details of childhood milestones such as first words and favourite bathtime toys, while a customised toy cupboard and a wooden chart have been used to trace the rising heights of various generations of royal children. Childhood mementoes such as first teeth and first shoes were similarly treasured and preserved by royal parents.
