Each year the State Apartments at Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse are beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. At Windsor Castle an impressive tree can be seen in St George’s Hall. In the Royal Dining Room at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, the table is laid with pieces from a silver service and decorated with wreaths of fruits and flowers, inspired by the historical plasterwork and woodcarvings seen throughout the State Apartments.
