WILLEM JACOBSZ DELFF (1580-1638)
Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange, 1618
RCIN 612010
Frederick Henry (r. 1625 – 47) was the third of William I's sons to succeed him as Prince of Orange. His reign was dominated by the Netherlands' ongoing struggle for independence from Catholic Spain, and for religious freedoms for Protestants. This conflict led to a closer allegiance between the Netherlands and Protestant Britain.
