Peter the Great (1682-1725)

Peter the Great (1682–1725) is the first Tsar to call himself emperor. He changed and expanded Russia into a huge empire and major European power. He replaced some of the traditionalist/medieval/social and political systems with a modern, scientific, Europe orientated and rationalist system. Peter created the Navy and Built St. Petersburg.
