History Weekends - Medieval Mayhem

“This weekend the Moat Garden will play host to knights, ladies, minstrels, and craftsmen from the time of the Wars of the Roses. 

Explore - their encampment and learn more about what life was like in the late Middle Ages. 

Experience-The Knights and their Squires show off their stunning steel armour in their “Arming the Knight” Displays. 

Noble Ladies will teach you how to behave and dress in a medieval Court in the fabulous “Fashion and Manners” Displays.

Join in!  The King’s retinue need brave billmen to fight on his side, learn how to fight in formation in our children’s bill drills and also learn how to dance medieval style in our dance workshops.
