We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Royal School of Needlework with this exclusive hand embroidery class inspired by the exhibition The Edwardians: Age of Elegance at The King’s Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse.

RSN Tutor Helen McCook will be teaching this stunning rose design inspired by embroidered motifs created by The Royal School of Needlework on the Coronation Mantle of Edward VII in 1902. During the day you will learn hand embroidery techniques including metal thread work, beading, diamanté and surface stitches.

This class is suitable for all levels of skill and your kit will contain everything you need to complete the design at home. You may like to bring your own magnifiers (battery operated only please), but you will be able to borrow ring 8″ Seat Frames and scissors on the day. Please do not bring your own scissors.

Royal Collection Trust is a charity caring for the Royal Collection, one of the world’s great art collections. Income from your visit helps us to conserve and share the Collection so that it can be enjoyed by everyone, wherever they are.
